Happy New Year, Friends!

What a crazy year 2018 was... Just think, this time last year we had just started packing the original Hobby Holders to send out to backers :O I could never have dreamed that an idea that came from gluing soda bottle necks to champagne corks could have brought us to this point. Now we are a community of well over 4000 painters in 56 countries experiencing a better way to paint miniatures!

I'm so excited to see how far we can go on the campaign over the next 11 days, and even more excited for the new Hobby Holders to begin arriving on your doorsteps! I can't wait to see Game Envy continue to expand and be able to offer even more cool products this year!

75K Stretch Goal - UNLOCKED - Large Platform STL Files

With the 75K Stretch Goal Unlocked all backers at the Just A Taste level and above will receive downloadable "Large Platform" STL files.

These will include a range diameters between 40-110mm in both Fixed style that bolts directly to the Hobby Holder Ergonomic Grip Mod or Rotatable style that goes over any standard size bottle cap so they can be used with the Threaded Base.

Q: Since I don't have a 3D printer how does this Stretch Goal add value for me?

A: This stretch goal sponsors development time and prototyping resources to continue to offer new parts for the Hobby Holder that would not warrant an expensive injection mold. Offering these files to backers as STL files is the best way to distribute them as a rewards.

There are lots of inexpensive online 3D printing services now. Many learning institutions (libraries, colleges, high schools, etc.) have public use printers available. Also many towns now have hobby shops and maker spaces with printers available. They will also be available directly from our shop after fulfillment is complete.

80K Stretch Goal - New Color for All Parts

I apparently didn't save the edit where I added this to the list... very sorry :O Here is a sneak peek at the next color available for all four parts when we reach 80K (tonight?): Midnight Blue! This blue adds another great dark color option to the list.

70K Stretch Goal - UNLOCKED - New Color for All Parts

Silver is now an available color option for ALL 4 PARTS! I was really excited to bring the silver color option back for all the parts because it looks great with every color. We actually ran out of this one except for a few stability bars, so getting to this point is awesome!

Holiday Stretch Goal - UNLOCKED - Fun-tak Sample

I am so thankful for the amazing support shown for Game Envy and the Hobby Holder, so I am unlocking the rest of the "Hit the Ground Running" Pack!

Renderings of Color Options!

Good day everyone!

We had a good night and are continuing to chug along towards the next stretch goal! To get everyone excited for the new All Parts color option I wanted to get renders of what all the parts will look like in the available colors. I also added these to the campaign page. Check them out!

Like I mentioned before these are very close to the actual ABS plastic color, however, these are still renderings so there might be slight differences.

60K Stretch Goal - UNLOCKED - CAPS!

And a big stretch goal gets knocked down! With this stretch goal unlocked we are including 5 bottle caps with each pledge. This is the first part of the "Hit the Group Running" Pack!

Available Colors Graphic

We now have six colors available in all four parts: Sky Blue, Fresh Green, Black, Purple, Orange and Red. I updated the campaign page with the following graphic so you can get an idea what these colors look like. These are approximate, but as accurate as possible based on the current pieces with have at the office.

That's 46 hours faster than the original Hobby Holder campaign!

Welcome to all our new supporters and welcome back to all the supporters from the original Hobby Holder campaign! I can't thank you all enough for the outpouring of support for my creations!

I have been so excited (and a little bit anxious) to share the new parts and configurations. I find myself more and more having favorite combos for different miniatures depending on what angles I need be able to get to and I can't wait for you all to experience this ultimate customization as well.

Pledge Rewards Clarification

I have been asked to provide some clarification about the different pledge levels and what quantities and parts you need to get the various Hobby Holder painting experiences. I hope it didn't cause too much confusion; at this point everyone I know has heard me talk a lot about the Hobby Holder, so sometimes I forget to explain it fully.

Below is a little breakdown of various setups you can get with the various pledges so you can start painting miniatures with the Hobby Holder.

If you want the very basic setup you just need 1 PART, the Threaded Base. This allows you to screw on minis on caps or on corks and offers some grip support.

If you want the original design you would want 2 PARTS, the Threaded Base and either the Standard (50mm) or New XL (70mm) Stability Bar.

If you want the full grip experience you would want 3 PARTS, the Threaded Base, either the Standard (50mm) or New XL (70mm) Stability Bar, and the New Ergonomic Grip Mod.

If you want the complete Hobby Holder line you would want 4 PARTS, the Threaded Base, the Standard (50mm) Stability Bar, the New XL (70mm) Stability Bar, and the New Ergonomic Grip Mod.

Pledges beyond this are mainly to get multiple sets or to get larger quantities of specific parts.

As the moment of writing this we have already unlocked TWO Stretch Goals!

20K Stretch Goal UNLOCKED - Stone Polish Finish

With this stretch goal we will be able to get a Stone Polish on the injection molds so that they have the same amazing feel as the original Hobby Holder parts. While this doesn't sound too exciting, it makes the pieces look and feel SO MUCH BETTER when they polished.

25K Stretch Goal UNLOCKED - New Colors

With the 25k Stretch Goals unlocked we will be adding Black as an available color for the New Ergonomic Grip Mod and New XL Stability Bar! Now they are both available in Sky Blue and Black.

28K Stretch Goal - LOCKED - New Colors

30K Stretch Goal - LOCKED - New Colors

35K Stretch Goal - LOCKED - Guaranteed Molds
